Car hire in Hungary

Compare car hire at Budapest airport and drive to Lake Balaton, the Danube Bend and the wine regions.

Budapest airport has desks from most international brands. From there Lake Balaton is about an hour and a half away, the Danube Bend towns of Szentendre, Visegrád and Esztergom are an easy loop, and Eger and Tokaj are popular for wine trips.

Combining Budapest with Vienna or Bratislava is a common route. Check one-way and cross-border fees before you book if you will not return the car to Hungary.
